Safety and Sanitation Listed, this two-door Reach In freezer unit (model Mxcf-49Fd) from Maxx Cold has an attractive stainless steel exterior housing and a cabinet floor also of stainless steel; the interior walls are painted aluminum. Despite being termed an “Economy” line, with these appliances you don’t need to cut corners on quality to save money. The top-mounted compressor gets the cabinet cold fast; the large evaporator/condenser keeps it cold in an energy-efficient manner: this two-door, six-shelf freezer is Energy-Star rated. In addition, this reach-in freezer utilizes a C.F.C.-free, friendly-to-the-environment refrigerant (R404A) and features an automatic defrosting system so it’s always operating at its peak efficiency. The freezer cabinet stays cold thanks to its polyurethane foam insulation (which is also free of C.F.C.s). The cabinet temperature has simple digital controls and you can monitor usage with the included L.E.D. display monitor.
